Skimbleshanks is the railway cat. He is an adult, and all of the other cats love him for his cheerful yet watchful air. He acts as friend and guardian to the younger cats - a favorite relative that plays and protects at the same time.
Skimbleshanks wears a brown vest with a watch chain, so it is very easy to recognize him. When he isn't dressed up, he's a golden-brown cat usually found with Jennyanydots.
